Ponte Las Pilas

Ponte las Pilas is a bilingual, community-centered outreach and education campaign created by Monarca Group in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office ReCharge Program and other local organizations. The phrase “ponte las pilas” is a popular expression in Spanish that means “get energized” or “get moving,” and in this context, it’s a clever play on words referencing both taking action on clean mobility incentives.

Approach:

  • Combines fun, culturally relevant outreach with practical resources and hands-on learning.

  • Hosted at local events, festivals, and markets to meet people where they are.

  • Includes EV/E-bike ride-and-drive experiences, bilingual interpretation, family-friendly activities, and resource tables with rebate info, community programs, and clean energy solutions.

This series is not just an event—it’s an experience for the community to discover and engage with the possibilities of energy efficiency, electric vehicles, e-bikes, saving money, and so much more!

2026 Event Schedule:

🖤 CO Springs: June 20 | 9:00 AM - 8: 00 PM at Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival

Why It Works:

  • Leverages cultural identity and trusted messengers to connect with audiences often left out of the clean energy/transportation conversation.

  • Provides accessible information in different languages and removes barriers like language, trust, or transportation to ensure inclusive participation.

  • Combines fun, education, and action with real tools for change — including ride-and-drives, e-bike demos, chat with bilingual EV owners.

Whether you're curious about how to save money on gas, reduce emissions, or simply want to test ride an EV or e-bike — Ponte las Pilas is your invitation to power up for a cleaner, more resilient future.
